Privacy Policy

UNEVIS GmbH (“we”, “us”) takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data we process when you visit www.unevis.io, why we do it, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

2. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by an external hosting provider that processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you open a page, the server automatically records technical data that your browser transmits:

• IP address (shortened or deleted where possible)
• Date and time of the request, page requested
• Browser type and version, operating system
• Referrer URL

We need this data to deliver the website securely and to detect and defend against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Log files are deleted after a short period, unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.

3. Fonts, scripts and media from third-party servers

To display the website quickly and consistently, some resources are loaded from external servers. Your browser connects to these servers directly, which transmits your IP address and technical browser data to the provider:

• Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland): web fonts.
• Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com), unpkg (unpkg.com) and cdnjs / Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA): layout and icon libraries and the 3D engine of our homepage.
• Preview images of our conference talks are loaded from YouTube (Google) and from NVIDIA’s media provider Kaltura. The videos themselves only open on the providers’ websites when you click on them.

No cookies are set by these requests. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a fast, consistent presentation of our website). Where providers are based outside the EU, transfers take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Our own images, videos and 3D models are delivered from our own servers.

4. Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name or organisation, email address, role, selected topic and your message) to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a proposal. The contact form is processed by the form service Web3Forms, which forwards your message to us by email.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete your data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (for example under German commercial and tax law) require us to keep it longer.

5. Web analytics with Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)

If you allow analytics in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). It helps us understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it.

Google Analytics sets cookies (see our Cookie Policy) and processes in particular:

• Pages viewed, time and referring website
• How far you scroll and which sections of a page you see
• Clicks on buttons and links (for example “Book a pipeline check”, case studies, talks, external links), use of the image comparison slider and “More” sections
• That the contact form was started or sent, and the topic you selected (never the content of your message, your name or your email address)
• Device type, browser, screen size, language and approximate location (country or city), derived from a shortened IP address

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics data is collected. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future on our Cookie Policy page. Analytics data is stored for a limited period and then deleted automatically (at most 14 months).

6. Preferences stored in your browser

We store a few small preferences in your browser’s local storage, for example your cookie choice and whether the sound of our homepage animation is on. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. It is strictly necessary to provide the functions you use (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). Details are listed in our Cookie Policy.

7. Links to other websites and social networks

Our website links to LinkedIn, X, YouTube, NVIDIA and the websites of our products and partners. These are plain links: no data is sent to these providers until you click. Once you open their sites, their own privacy policies apply.

8. Client data and AI training

Data that clients provide in a project, for example for LoRA training, model fine-tuning or pipeline automation, is processed under a separate contract and in strictly isolated environments (on premise or virtual private cloud). It is never used to train public models or shared with third parties without the client’s explicit written consent.

9. Recipients

We only share personal data where this is necessary for the purposes described above: with our hosting provider, the form service Web3Forms and, if you have consented, Google. We do not sell personal data.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
• rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• withdraw any consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority responsible for us: Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

11. Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
